Strictly Come Dancing is a great platform for many dancers. Performers work hard and make every possible effort to perform well on the stage. With so many talents on one platform, someone definitely has to leave. Rachel Stevens is one of those participants who lost the competition at the final stage.
The 31-year-old, S Club 7 singer, and partner Vincent Simone lost the show to Camilla Dallerup and Tom Chambers. Although the winner couple did not score well from the judges, but viewers votes supported them to dance against Vincent and Rachel. Both the pairs exhibited their talent and Vincent and Rachel eventually lost it.
Everyone could sense Rachel’s sorrow as she could not control her tears. She broke down backstage…you can imagine her distraught condition. When asked about that miserable moment, the singer said, “Everything was too much…I bawled – I was blubbering wreck. My mum said. “You are a winner to me. I can’t tell you how well you’ve done – you’ve inspired me.” Fortunately, her fiance Alex was also there to soothe her.
Over 13 million viewers were watching the finale and many of them must have felt bad for the lady. Nonetheless it was a competition and someone had to win over another. Rachel also explained that she was expecting success but at the same time her “sixth sense” was going in a different direction. She knew that Tom Chambers has an amazing fan-following and that was the biggest plus point.
Well, Rachel must have overcome the awful mood by now. In any case, the show is meant for entertainment and taking it too seriously won’t help. Besides, Rachel Stevens has proven she is a good dancers and we are sure she will defeat most of her future competition in the Dancing Stage Universe game, or any other dancing related event that she chooses to participate in.
