According to the Dancing on Ice girls, the show has helped them maintain their body shape, fitness and health. From the time she started preparing for the skating contest, Melinda Messenger says she lost at least two stone.
The strenuous show training schedule and a controlled diet has helped Melinda, aged 37 to lose 21 pounds. According to Melinda, the glamour model, she feels she is back to eighteen again and has never felt fitter in her life.
Another skater Roxanne Pallet, in her interview with New magazine said there was a great improvement in the tone of her body due to the rigorous training for the show Dancing on Ice. She went on to say this was an exercise that is so enjoyable and she has not enjoyed any other exercise regime in her life so much.
She says she is so thrilled with her hourglass figure and though hasn’t lost much weight, she feels her whole body has tightened up and sucked in , especially the tummy, bum and legs. She also said her curves were intact. So anyone who doesn’t have the time for they gym, or the money for their own personal treadmill, like the Bowflex 7 Series, taking up ice skating might be the perfect fitness solution. Another contestant Jessica Taylor said her bottom and legs were sufficiently toned up due to the strenuous exercising on the skating rink. In her interview to the Daily Star Sunday, Jessica said the show has really done wonders for her body. She highly recommended skating for toning various body parts including bum and legs. She added that it is quite fantastic what skating has done for her body.
